Library
The Aalochana library houses a wide array of material primarily on women’s issues in English and Marathi. These consist of 4000 books (English 2500 and Marathi 1500), over 3000 reports, booklets, research papers, newspaper clippings, and training material. The library holdings also include journals, newsletters, magazines, brochures, pamphlets and posters.

The Aalochana library has been built over the years by contributions from various individuals, as well as support from donors.
Library timings and facilities
- The library is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm
- The use of the reading room entails no charges
- Film viewing is free for all visitors
- Visitors can borrow books from the library by paying a membership fee
- Library members can borrow two books for a month
- Reports, reference material, booklets and magazines are not permitted to be taken out of the library and must be read at the Centre
- Photocopying and scanning facilities are available
- Out of station requests are also met

VCDs and DVDs are available on rent at Rs.30 per day with a refundable deposit of Rs.500 per VCD/DVD.
